Karel Dujardin
Dutch, 1626 - 1678
Painter and etcher, mainly of italianate landscapes and portraits. Born in Amsterdam and baptised in the Lutherse Kerk there on 27th September 1626; pupil of Nicolaes Berchem; 1647-1652 probably in Italy; then in Lyon and Paris; 1651-1655 in Amsterdam; 1656 in The Hague; 1659-1673 in Amsterdam; 1675-1678 with Joan Reynst in Italy; 1678 died in Venice.
