Egbert Cadmus was father to the more well-known artist, Paul Cadmus. Having trained initially at the National Academy of Design in New York with Robert Henri, Egbert found success as a commercial artist and painted with colleagues as part of the Old Lyme Connecticut impressionist artists’ colony. This colorful late watercolor retains its brilliant hues.
