Born in Baltimore, Goldberg is a graduate of the University of Maryland and the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC, where she studied with Gene Davis in the wake of the Washington Color School movement. She is a painter and sculptor who taught for many years at American University and draws inspiration from Fernand Leger, Henri Matisse, and the work of her mentors.
