If a Bible verse touches you recall it often in the stillness of your heart to bring you daily happiness.

Known as the “Mount Pleasant Artist,” Sanuel Bentz’s fraktur have a distinctive style that is easily recognizable.  Typically, his organized format includes columnar-like architectural elements framing a central arcaded vertical text, often with geometric or diagonal patterning or ornamented with foliate vines or topped with striped spheres.  He is also known to have drawn clocks on numerous certificates and gave the full page a watercolor wash, resulting in a varying depth of tonality.  His favorite motifs were carnations, spheres, and urns but also depicted female figures with elaborate costumes.
