Blue Red

Born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, with a Mennonite upbringing, Rohrer entered the Philadelphia art scene, making a name for himself with layered abstract compositions and explorations of color. The artist taught for 25 years at the Philadelphia College of Art (now the University of the Arts) and was featured in a major retrospective exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in 2003.
