How The West Was Won

Former chairperson of the Department of Painting and Drawing at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Keyser attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied chemistry and psychology before serving in the Navy during WWII. He studied art in France with Fernand Léger in the late 1940s and exhibited work at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
