An impressionist painter of still lifes, landscapes, and quiet interiors, as in this example, which Sharman painted with Woodbury in Maine at the Ogunquit School and at Monhegan. He exhibited regularly from the 1910s to the 1930s at the Corcoran Gallery biennials, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
